The Land
Kelowna is located in the southern interior of British Columbia also called the Okanagan Valley. The Okanagan Valley is surrounded by breathtaking views of lakes and mountains. The land and weather is perfect for growing a variety of fruits. Most famously known for its world renowned wines, the Okanagan is perfect for growing grapes with vineyards and wineries located up and down the valley.
The People
The population is increasing very rapidly as the beauty and lifestyle of the Valley attracts people from all around the world. It is a four season playground with many ski hills for winter enjoyment. The Okanagan wine festival during spring and fall. The summer attracts tourists due to it's hot and dry climate. The winters are fairly mild. Okanagan Lake is perfect for boats with tourists and locals enjoying the beautiful scenery.
The Economy
The Okanagan Valley has a very diverse economy. Tourism is a huge part of the economy, however there is a wide range of businesses from high tech to manufacturing, lumber and not to mention the delicious fruits that are grown here due to the near perfect weather conditions. Currently the economy in the Okanagan is very good with lots of growth. Construction is at a record pace and expected to continue over the next decade.
